Problem paniting joints

Posted in Custom Workstation

When ever I paint a joint and it dries, I move the figure and the paint scrapes off. Whats up with that?

Try sanding the joint areas also and making sure all flash is removed from the seams that can rub.

Thinning the paint and sealing it with glue should do the job. Paint the area and let the paint dry, then rub a thin layer of superglue on top of the painted parts and try not to immobilize the joint! The glue is like a normal sealer, only much more durable.

Yep, paint rubbing off at the joints is a common problem. There are things you can do about it though:

1. Water down the paint a bit so it isnt that thick, it shouldn't rub off as bad.

2. Put LESS then a drop of superglue and rub it around the joint(not the actual hinge part that moves) and paint over that

3. I've heard from a few guys here that a certain paitn brand works pretty well, one of them will probably post it.
