Removing Testors paint??

Posted in Custom Workstation

Howdy, I am paiting a Marvel Legends Icons Spider-man using black and silver Testors paint. I want to start over on one of the legs and am wondering how I can remove the Testors paint on his leg. I don't want to harm the plastic and also I am wondering if whatever I use will remove the original paint on the action figure. I would rather not have the original paint removed so in the event I decided to have a normal Spidey again I can remove only the Testors from his whole body. Let me know if this is possible please. Thank you for any help and suggestions.

Cool, thanks guys, I'll try this out and I hope it works. I don't like the way the Spidey is turning out since the colors I picked aren't what I really want so it will be great to be able to get him back to normal and start again. Thanks again for the help.

Denatured alcohol! Available at Home Depot, Osh, Lowes or anyother hardware store at the paint department. Will take off the paint, without harming preexisting colors.

Stay away from paint removers or paint strippers as these will disolve all colors!

Meths. Soak for an hour or so, then get a rag a wipe firmly. If it doesn't work soak again, and keep trying until it works.
