Goku Questions

Posted in Custom Workstation

Could someone post a picture of DCSH Superman next to SOTA SF Ryu? Preferably with Ryu having his fists rather than his open hands. It would be much appreciated as I need it for size comparison reasons.

I am planning on making a Goku figure with Supes, and was thinking about using Ryu's head, and was going to try having interchangeable hands so I could switch between regular and open for kamehamehas.

Also would there be another head that would be better to use than Ryu's?

And one last thing, how does one go about making flexible(not cloth, that rubbery plastic) clothing?

The clothes are blank, so no icons at all, just orange pants and an orange shirt with blue sleeves. As for trading, I'll send you the parts, and if they are of any use to you we can trade later. I'm not planning on using them and I didn't really like the models all that well. Anyways, just PM me and let me know.

Sure, since that would save me a lot of hassle with having to sculpt clothing out of fixit sculpt around all his joints.

I'm not sure about trading though since my Dad didn't really like me trading last time, since he's probably thinking that because it's the internet there are automatically paedophiles everywhere on it. Also I have no idea of anything you want or need.

Do they have the Kame, Turtle or Kai symbols on his clothes? I would prefer if they don't, but it doesn't matter since I might end up painting over them anyway.

Well, my Supes is about half an inch shorter than my ML Thor, so I'm pretty sure they're close to ML Scale.

(Directed towards Mukami)Were they models as in you had to assemble them? If so I think I used to have the ones you're talking about, I had SS Adult Gohan, SS Trunks and Piccolo, but I'm pretty sure I got rid of them.Yep, those are the ones. I have Goku's clothing if you'd like to try that route.

Okay, the models are extremely close to size withthe DCSH superman. Only problem is that the rubber clothing is kinda stiff (I tried sleeves on the arms, they tend to pull the arm back into place)

About the flexible clothing.. I'm pretty sure you'd have to do some trimming, but Bandai or Irwin released action figure models of Goku, Gohan, Trunks, and Vegeta (I'm sure there were more).. they had rubber clothing that fit over the model. I'll get some measurements, and try them out on a Superman fig to see how they fit.

DCSH's are closer to 7" dbz figs are 5" but on a 6" scale body it would still be good.

What figure though? Most of the dbz figures that I know of are 5 inch scale, and I'm trying to make one that is 6 inch scale.

I don't know much of the character, but what I've seen from the face on the toy, he looks closer to Blanka(SF) than Goku.

By click joints do you mean ones like in some Transformer toys where it has the asterisk shaped theing and someithing holding it in place so that when you move it it clicks and holds it there until you move it again so that the part holding it in place is in a different part of the asterisk? In that case, no Supes doesn't have any of those.

Head wise a 2000AD figure "Slaine" head might look cool if repainted and resculpted

Make sure you figures got "click joints" like the Marvel legend Omega Red and coat it in successove layers of colored latex rubber (mix small amounts of acrylic paint in with it)

Dedi

Or you can use the necks and bodies of balloons
