Do you keep or sell your customs?

Posted in Custom Workstation

I personally will never sell my customs.

I only make figures I want, like or need.

For me its all about making my personal colection growing bigger with stuff the toy compaines won't make.

I used to get angrey when a toy was not made or not so good. So now I build them myself.

What about you guys do you just sell them, keep them or a little of both?

yup, I make 100% of my living and pay all my bills (and luxury expenses) off selling customs. Just about every cuctom I ever made was a commission or sold on ebay.

Wow! You're doing better than me. Most I ever sold one for was $53.99, most usually go for $19.99 . I'd pee my kilt if I had one go for over a hundred! )

The first battle damage Trans. I sold on eBay went for $102.51 U.S.
Not to brag or compare to others but just to show - it is possible.
(Last one went for $34.02.... )

Man, and here I thought I was living under a rock

If you get good enough at this stuff you can sell them for big bucks and help pay your bills.

Yep, didn't one of Jins go for over $300?

I sell everything, I have to. I can't afford to make another one if I don't sell the last one. It's a bit of a pain but the roller coaster ride of eBay gives the stomach ulcer something to feed on.

Even better - just go to the toys & hobbies category (eBay) and click Action Figures then search the word custom and it will bring up every custom in the entire action figure category.....for even more fun click the Completed Items box over on the left, hit search and it brings up all the custom figure auctions that have ended thus showing the final price of the custom figures ! (what they sold for)

Have fun !

Oh yeah, I keep, sell and commission.
Its great source of $ if you have a seasonal job or work part time.
Usually I make one to keep and try to duplicate some to sell.

yeah, a lot of people will bid on characters they like. Go to ebay and type in Custom Marvel Legends. It should show up all these customs

well not on this site, but you can put it on Ebay or someone can commission you to make a figure for them.

I'm a keeper. I just make figures for the fun of it. Most of customs aren't even real comic heroes.
