small update on what I've been up to. most of my old stuff is gone(cause I'm bad at cracking torsos) but this stuff is almost done, just needing paint mostly
since I was last here I have given the hulk a hulk buster iron man arm(so the chainsaw makes sense now)begun painting the patriot base(his name is zenon), replaced my trashed longshot body with quicksilver(why do hasbro's joints suck so bad?), and almost finished some three for the supernatural contest. one actually just needs some shading and an accesory, and it is done. stupid procrastination
went crazy with the superglue when putting the ball joints in his back for the wings, and his left arm broke off right after this pic, so I have to go to tru and spend another 3 dollars for the longshot base
other than that I'm happy with how he is turning out, so enjoy what there is of my firebird original
head is longshot with tidus from ff 10's hair, wings are xmc arch, forearms are ml falcon, wrists and hands xmc gambit, choker is box set iron lad wrist wring thingy, boots are luke cage, and shoes are zemo. ball joints to hold on wings and make them mobile, and cooler than they were on angel are from the light up ghost rider
tell me what you think
almost forgot, flam ball is a bored out hasbro vengeance head, and the other one is an icon iron man blast
not gonna be able to finish anything until I get some better paint(the cheapo stuff I have is too glossy) and more brushes(I only have one, and it isnt good) can't buy any paints or brushes for I while, since I just spent a hundred bucks buying an entire case of legendary riders
thought you might all like to see what I've been doing while all of the talented people have been making figures
this is the bad part about making original characters. I get started on painting something, and then decide I would rather him have another arm, or a different head. very frustrating
darn my overactive imagination! after writing out several bios, and making a few figs, I have to retool many of the figs to match the bios. I am also having some slight problems getting my sculpey to stay put, but I'll figure that out as I get more experienced(only had it for about four days)
could be a while on the pics, since one of my kids decided that the strap on the digital camera would be awesome to swing it around with, and then it hit the wall. plus, I keep building the figures up until paint, and then get distracted by another figure that needs to be built
Did you scrap the Tidus figure after taking the hair?
I make original characters too
