Beard stubble

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hi guys, I'm making a figure of a character who's an older gentleman, has long white hair and beard stubble.
Now my question is: Should the stubble be black or white? Since his hair is white, it should probably be white, but on all my reference pictures, it's black.
What do you guys think would work best?

And same thing about the hair on his hairy arms.

Thanks for your input, I drybrushed black with a small brush and then did a little drybrushing of white on top. It turned out good!

dry brush sounds good. will make it look like the hair went white, and the beard is slowly following suit

I would just drybrush black very lightly.
