Stands

Posted in Custom Workstation

I need some advice on how to make a stand to hold a very off balanced figure up. There's no way in heck it'd stand up on it's own.

Not really, but I have noticed that the newer ML stands have been using click-joints so you can hold-up heavier figures.

Is there something inherently better about the X-Men stands compared to the ML stands?

look at my trade thread..lol... This is about half of what I got... I also have about 8 X-Men base, the young avengers bases, the monsters box bases, and F4 bases

and also, if your ever intrested in just having nice stands around, I order thease in bulk... This link is on the links page of KR customs .com

as long as you get VINTAGE, they fit perfect for ML feet... for really loppy figs I put one on each foot.

My ML Longshot didn't either, there's a hole in his back for one, but no stand. Whats up with that.

Auction site. That's where I get mine. They usually found in lots.

in most ML packaging. Right after the series 8 release they stopped making detailed bases and added doop stands because of the BAF pieces. Or I'm sure some people have extras laying around

Where do I get those ML clear stands?

Use some of ML clear stands or Toybiz disc bases. If your custom doesn't have a back hole or feet holes you can drill them with your demel

...some sort of elaborate pulley system? xD

Maybe some strong long flexible wire stabbed into a wood base so the wire can hold the figure up (under the arms, in the back, get creative :] )
