making a Squirrelgirl figure

I am looking to see which figures I could modify into a squirrel girl (the one created by steve ditko) figure I know there was a head that would work perfectly on the new Terra figure that is coming out but thats not till 2008 and the elbows aren't articulated so I am taking suggestions on what figures to use

I have a x-23 figure and I don't like how fragile it looks but it would be cool because I could integrate the claws and stuff but they would have to be filed down and the hair wouldn't work for it

Aye. Squirrel Girl's only... what... sixteen? Still in school. Might be usefull to use an X-23 figure for a base?

by the way does anybody know where I could find a tiny plastic squirrel that I could use to be a monkey joe or a tippy toe
the squirrel would have to be small enough to perch on the shoulder of the figure

I think the second fig would be better, as SG does not have all that big of a rack.
