Stark Armor Spidey from Legendary Heroes Star

So that's the plan, turn the new Star fig into the Stark armor spidey. I've already shaped down the boots and gloves to get those bracers off and took the belt off and cut the pouches off. I glued the waist filler back in there so it still turns and looks mostly unbroken. The belt is gonna be my rouge belt instead of the one Ann O'Brien came with. Anyway, paint tips? I suppose I'm going to sculpt the yellow spider and his wrist and ankle bracers out of sculpey and boil it, and after that? I want to try the silver with colored varnish trick, anybody have any advice that can help?
