Is there anyway a figure can become damaged if boiled for too long

actually the best way to cure sculpey IS the oven. I only use Super Sculpey on parts build from scratch like shoulder pads and such which arent attached to the figure so baking works. Also I did the whole head for Jizmak with SS and baked it, it did NOT warp or melt the head inside nor the peg hole.
I have used both boiling and heatguns on sculpey and was NOT satisified with the results. You really have to have some patience and time to keep dipping or holding the gun. Ack! I believe though gee Jee has a tutorial for Microwaving it, that I havent tried.PM him.

I really suggest using a hairdryer. It is quicker, more exact and lessen the chance for large scale damage. And, you don't waste gas or add to your water bill. Dr. Nightmare has a tutorial on it. It really helped me out. Boil-and-Pop should only be used if you want to take the whole figure apart.

Yeah, the plastic warps and shrinks, you shouldn't leave them in there too long at one time.
