So lets say I have 500 hypothetical dollars to spend on legends and customizing equipment. What should I get? So far all I coulde come up with is an airbrush, and a ton of loosies. Anyone have any suggestions? Oh, I already have two dremels
Grey monk some paint remover will take all the Epoxy residue off! I wanna know what those scuplting tools are and where I can get them.? Im always down for more tools!
You know what else would help you that's cheap........... A good lamp with a flexable swing arm so you can get good light when it's four in the morning and you've been working on a custom for 24 hours straight .... not that I've ever done that before.
You can get that mad crazy metal box of Every color paint Citadel makes for $250 . I also recommend these Really nice Brittish Sculpting tools, they look like paint brushes but the tips are nylon - about 30 bucks for a set of 5 and they have soft, medium and hard tips. I use the hard tips and they are the best sculpting tools I've ever touched. (sorry can't read the brand anymore Mine are coated over with years of Marine epoxy putty)
Flex shaft for your dremel if you don't have it and get some router bits from the Home Depot, I can create my own ball sockets with some of the bits I got there. Well worth the expenditure. A 4lb tub of Apoxie Sculpt for about $30 (before shipping) Some good wet dry sandpaper in the high grades like 1000+, a couple of packages of Sheet styrene (including clear) more ink cartridges for your printer so you can print your eBay invoices and postage labels. umm ummm some figs, and save about 40 bucks for Black Arachnis... (but you gotta wait until after June)
Dremels are like 20 bucks... Unless you want one with crazy features, recommended if you're going to use it for repairs around the house as well, not just toys.
Standard Passche Vl airbrush $70
Compressor $100 to $250* (check your local swapmeets)
Dremel $60 (if you already have one upgrade to the stylus as your 2nd)
Apoxie Sculpt
Sculpting tools.
Paint
files & sand paper
If you need recommendations of where you can go online for Great prices let me know, some offer free shipping.
