aves sculting

Posted in Custom Workstation

I have a question for the advance customizers. I want to know how would you use apoxie sculpt to smooth out a figures surface? heres an example, if you are familiar with the scorpion figure the muscle structure is great for a base custom but he has rigges in his costume . I want to fill those up with the aves apoxie sculpt to smooth it out this way I can keep the muscle structure and make it look like the custom is not wearing a suit. the only problem is the aves apoxie sculpt is too thick. is there another way to go about this or another aves product I can use. do you guys get what Im sayin

yep - if you screw up like I do all the time - it's not hard to sand it off - 220 Grit Sandpaper will take it down fast. or if you have a dremel - try to find the Dremel 240 Grit Sanding belts.

If it does get a little thick in sections after it dries use use a very fine grade of sand paper to level it. I like using ladies fdisposable finger nail files.

yep what markimark said, get some AS, and rub it in the grooves using water by keeping it thin and not cover any muscle details.

I don't concider my self an "advance customizer" but what I would do is, try to add a thin layer of apoxie, use water to smooth it out, if need be sculpt the muscles. only thing is if you mess up its a lot harder to take off.

Try Practicing a bit to see if that helps.

btw niice signature lol
