waist joint disassembly & hip repair

Posted in Custom Workstation

Are waist joints just like basic swivel joints that can be disassembled with heat & pop, or is a more complicated method required.

Also, how does one repair a hip joint peg? Not the peg going from the swivel-hinge into the leg, but the peg going from the swivel-hinge into the pelvis.

I wouldn't exactly call it soft plastic but if you heat it up I becomes softer and can easily be popped apart

and yea I'm Bakit?!

yeah, the joint connecting the chest/upper torso to the pelvis/lower torso.

I figured that you'd have to crack it open. Are the torsos on the SF figs made of soft plastic then?

Aren't you Bakit?! ?

when you say waist joint do mean the part that connects the figures torso to the hip/waist?Cause if so then that can't be heatand popped unless its a SOTA Street Fighter figure but other than that I don't think theres that many figures whose waist and torso can be heated and popped apart because the figures waist and torso are usually made of hard plastic,so you'd actually have to crack the figure in half down the middle with a screw driver and hammer .
