I have a question for people who paint the entire figure...

Posted in Custom Workstation

Such as those who paint an entire Iron Man figure from head to toe.

Do you have to keep him in that same pose? I mean...all that paint...I'd be terrified that one tiny move would cause the paint to chip at every joint.

Also, do you have to constantly retouch the paint job?

I wouldn't want to be spending time retouching finished customs everytime I play with it.

If you take your time and do it right it does most of the time. I don't think there is a 100% fix for all paint rub.

The only problem is, I can play with my figures quite a bit.

And I'll probably have to paint some pants onto a figure soon for an upcoming custom of mine. And I don't want the paint to chip at the ball joints of the hips and the knee joints.

nah its not that bad, you can move them a quite a bit, you just don't want to over pose them
