looking for digital camera and figure suggestions

I hope this isn't too off topic but does anyone have a suggestion for a good cheap digital camera for documenting my customs? my vivitar just isn't doing it. Also, does anyone have any ideas what figure would come with a 1960s style wheel chair? I'm thinking of making a Dr. Strangelove custom and the chair is pretty important. Thanks.
