Specifically, I'm wanting to remove the top turret of a movie Brawl. But it's fastened on with one of those stupid not-screws, and can't figure out how to remove it without damaging the rest of the figure.
If your talking about removing a pin. All I do is use a soldering iron on it and heat up the pin so the surrounding plastic gets soft. then using a pin punch(or something equally small) I push the pin out one side. As soon as their is enough out I grab it with pliers and pull.(sometimes you need to rewarm it so that you don't brake the plastic).
Sometimes small pins can be removed with an jewelers auto punch but they can braek the plastic if not careful.
sorry I was trying to find the article from TF Masters, but it closed alnog time ago when he passed and it switched to seibertron, but I remeber reading that if you heat up the metal it should slide out if it's hot enough. I think you have to put a screw driver over a stove to it's super hot. I never tried it though, and since I can't find the article and it's all by memory it might work and it might not. Maybe ask GrimlockPrime108, he does TF customs...
I have both, but I haven't taken the turret off. If it's anything like the Optimus Classics figure, just pull REALLY HARD and the shaft should slide out.
