An alternative to tamiya's clear yellow?

hey I can't seem to find tamiya's paint anywhere, apparently it's been discontinued. I have a whole bunch of figures which need some gold, anyone know a good alternative?

I tried mixing Model Masters Gold and Citadel Mithril Silver and got pretty good results. You can see it on the guns I painted for this Corsair custom I did for princebrent.

I'm not a big fan of the clear yellow over silver to make gold method.
