NECA TOYS

I only have one neca, the 12" talking V for vendetta figure. what it lacks in poa it makes up for in a beautiful sculpt. I'm glad I got it, might have to look into whatelse they make.

I find POA depends on the figure. I have the NECA John Lennon and it is made to stand there and look cool, not move. Same as Napolean Dynamite by McFarlane.

Gears of War figs are comin next year . I can't wait !!!

Got both versions of Kratos yesterday. Let me just say that anyone complaining about Neca's articulation will be very pleasantly surprized with what they did with Kratos. The only thing that I really didn't care for was the hip/leg joints, I would have liked for them to do a ball/socket type of articulation there. I am partial to the armoured version with the severed Medusa head, she looks really freaky! (would like to see a full bodied version of this) Nonetheless, I hope this is a standard setter for their future products!

Yeah, Kratos looks Bitchin' I am awaiting both versions that I won on ebay (should be here any day now). I agree that Neca could really stand to add some articulation to their figures, but they have done some really good work. I am especially anxious to see the new Conan figures they plan to release. The likeness on their movie figures is about as good as it gets. Anyways, lack of articulation is just one other reason I got into customizing. I did a Neca Resident Evil Garrador which is posted in the galleries. I have the Highlander set and would like to articulate them, but I hate to cut into them so I think I may have to just buy another set to do that. I also did a modification on a Pirates of the Caribbean Admiral Norrington (haven't posted it as yet), I just fixed it so his right arm was better articulated and not stuck straight out to the side for eternity.

I admire Neca's sculpting work but I would like to see more articulation in the hip and knee areas. I must buy that Kratos figure.

I can get over the POA as long as they drop the goods. I'm really pumped for the castlevania line!!

Yeah , you can see that a lot on SOTA and Marvel Legends figures.

The problem with most of the PoA I see out there is that I think the ball joints detract from the figure. On some figures it's less noticeable, but on some it's horrendous, like the figure's shoulders and hips are actually bowling balls.

I hate them. (except the sports ones) I wish they had more POA because they do look awesome.

Well Their are Robocop , Terminator skeleton , Aliens , and Predator . All fully detailed with at least 20 poa.

Ah yeah I -love- MacFarlane figs. So realistic!

there should be a rule if you have less than like 10 poa, then the figure is called a movable statue not an action figure.

McFarlane is a biggy on no poa.

Ahhh, I see. Yeah, articulation isn't that big a deal for me. As long as the figure looks cool and statuesque, I'm fine. Too much articulation and the figure can look goofy imho.

I like neca.

Yeah I wish they had more poa but they are slowly improving. Look at kill bill line and the sin city line. The sin city line got a few extra poa. I think some day necca will increase poa a lot to the point where it will be posabled enough.

On a another note I bought the endo skelltion from the cult classics line and it had 28 poa!!!!! I wrote a rewveiw about it. It's my favorte 6" scale figure in my whole collection. It's so amazing

POA is short for Points of Articulation. basically how much movement the figure can do. Like Spider Man could have 42 POA. or 42 Joints

As far as the issue on this thread I don't know anyone here who has been "playa hattin" NECA I will agree I wish they had better articulation but I but them as I see fit any way. And I do remake them often with MLs or hat not but some of them are fine the way they are. So calm down dude I think you are confusing peoples desire for more POA for disliking the company which I see as 2 different issues and neither is worth getting riled up about.

I psted this tread because #1 - To stop the complaining about the poa , you could do what I said before or you could cut off joint areas on the Ml figures and attach on to the neca fig. And #2 - To stop people from saying "this is how neca should have done it" because I know EVERYONE wants a super poa Freddy , Leonidas , KRATOS , and so on , ok if neca did it the way us customizers did it they could get sued!!! I'm not trying to make a big deal , I'm just trying to end treats people are giving to neca .

Can you actually get them where your at?

Id like a few but no stores carry them around here(that I know of) and I don't feel like paying an arm and a leg to order online...
