I was just curious as I have a decent selection. If one of the casting shops was to add a section in their inventory for Anthro's how many of you would be interested? I'm hoping finding some interested people may convince someone to do it. I've been holding off on making Anthro's for fear I either wouldn't be able to find another headsculpt or I would end up shelling out $50 for a donor figure just to pop its head off.

I acutally found a sculptor in england who is making some heads for me. I have to see if he minds but I thought maybe I'd mention him on here by name to get him some work.

Do you have any idea what those were other than that they were cartoony?

Do you mean their original colors were cartoony, because I don't think many toys based on cartoons would have sculpted fur.

Yep, specifically it was a Duel Masters Fear Fang:

Sorry, had to look it up. I thought it was Yugioh.

Take a look and you'll get an idea of what I meant by cartoony. Mostly in the proportions.

I found 2 decent sources for wolf looking characters, one was from the Dr Who line, there was a lycanthrope in an episode.

I also used a could very cartoony Yugio werewolf guys here:

One the heads were off & repainted they looked good.

These scaled up to about 8" figures though!

Stan winston's Blood Wolves series offers a few chioces too:

And there is always the old toybiz wolfsbane:
google it :-)

And finally, if you are going for more cutsey than tough try baby timber from the kiddie GI Joe line:

Hope this helps!

I found a sculptor in england, expensive thanks to the sinking dollar, who can do it. I'll update you guys as he does statues and it would be easy enough to hire him and do yer own resin cast of the piece for yer figure.

I'm hoping the sculptor gets back to me as I have a sketch of her character now (several actually) and if I can get it close itwould great.

...is the one I was thinking of. Got muddled with the webcomic by the same name.

Anyways, there's also the Werewolf by night ML figure. Or the ones from Dr Who...

cool I'll check it out. I have an email into a scultpor but he suddenly isn't responding, seems to happen a lot to me with people like that. They won't work although I think I may start collecting them as I'm a fan of cats. Unfortunetly I need a wolf's head

now that you mention it I've never seen any anthro ducks even in comics. Most of them are land animals or dragons. thanks though.

If you ever need anthromorphic duck heads there are some The Mighty Ducks knock offs they have at the shops downtown.

yep that's it. Way back when WB didn't suck. They canceled all the good cartoons really fast. I don't think they made figures of them though.

I never heard of those ones before. I'll have to google it. I can't believe there are so many furries out there and no company making toys aimed at them. They go nuts for anything like this. The Benwolf was huge and there were some dog-warrior figures that kmart had that flew off the shelves. well I found a clan of the cats comic strip but no figures. I wish they'd made figures of that warner brother cartoon years ago with the superhero dogs who had human dna they were anthro. there was a collie that I could have probably made do with. it used to be on before or after Freakazoid.

H'mmmm...

There's always the Clan of the cats figures - leastways, I think that's what they're called - but they're not so cuddy looking.

You'd think with all the Furries in the world a company would make anthro figures like these. If I had scultping ability I could make a fortune at conventions. Anyone know any really good head sculpting tutorials?

I fixed it...

It's usually direct%20link%20to%20the%20picture , same concept as if you were making text bold or changing it's color.

Well I'm trying to upload a rough idea of the kinda thing I'm looking for. My friend keeps her personal art offline so I had to find this on a site but it gives the basic idea. If it doesn't show up here's the link.

I'm gonna google her and see what she looks like. May get someone to do one based on her art just to impress her

acutally her character's head is that of a wolf. Sorta like a girly wolfman. I'd post a pic of her character but I'm not sure how to do it:/ If you look at any Furry anthro art that's the sorta thing I'm after. I don't think I could deal with astore that messes with the prices like that. I'm fighting with discountanimedvd as it is.

Depending on the cashier/owners mood anywhere from 8 to 12. Oh and the more beat up the package the more expesnive it gets apparently. I remember she made me cry once when I showed up with a Series 12 commando spawn thats packaging was held together by what seemed Todd McFarlane's sense of smugness and the tears of angels and it went from "shelf price" of 12.95 to 15.95 because she thought it was the "last one".

Hey, Esbat? While you're there, would you see if there's a Franken Steela? Will repay you for the fig and postage, depnding on how much the figure is.

Fewture Toys put out a cool Werewolf figure in the 1:12 scale. I'll see if I can find one at the shops downtown.

here's a pic:

Wolfinica from the Ressurection of Monstress line. I think I'll pick up Curia and Phantena while I'm there for the accessories.

I'd have to look at them as her character's really feminine.

You could look at Digimon figures, or I think Toybiz made a 5" figure of the werewolf from Darkstalkers.
