Paint opacity

Posted in Custom Workstation

I just finished making 7 new Green Lanterns and decided to try making Sinistrop Corps figs, but am having a bad time finding opaque yellows I have 3 brands and they all are so transparent that even with 7 coats they still look week and have brush strokes. Anybody have an idea for me, do I need to prime first? I amgoing to post pix of the GL's soon.

You could try:

-Mixing the yellow with a few drops of a darker color(add more drops to fit your liking and then stir WELL) to get the color you want.

-Paint the area black or another dark color, then go over with the yellow until you get it to the right color.

-Or you could prime first.
