I'm new to kit bashing and customizing and wondered if anyone has experience with using rivets on 1:6 figures or any scale figure. If so are there miniature rivets that can be used on a 1:6 scale figures costume? I'm working on a lord of the rings thing and I'd like to fasten some segmented armor pieces to a breast place with leather straps and rivets.
I'm trying to build a Uruk Hai orc, one of the few seen in FoTR that kill Boromir.
DOn't know how I'm going to craft a lurtz head and face since I've never tried but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. The figure I'm using is a 12 inch Jakks pacific WWE maximum aggression figure. It has the musculature I'm looking for.
nevermind, found some minature rivets at the craft store. I've got the breast plate done. The main chest piece is cut from a campbells soup select soup can, and the lamina that protect the belly are cut out of a dr. pepper can.
