their heads have independent LEDs inside of them that don't run from a battery pack in the body. - really handy for making figures with light up eyes on the fly

I have now taken the time (at work ) to finally read all your DCSH reviews, and am now heartbroken.....

I can't find the damn things!!! The Batman you reviewed and the Azrael are immense! I would absolutely LOVE to get my hands on them!

There was just an article about the fact that Mattel has ALL of the DC/ vertigo/ darkhorse copyrights now (except for four unnamed characters that are still in limbo). There won't be anything outside of Batman/superman til this time next year though. From what I read they are looking great so far.

Oh and they do Build a figures now too.

I think mongul is that big in the animated series. got to be if he has the same strength level as superman. I love the fact DC is putting out articulated figures.

Yup, I think they were designed to be in-scale to make the collectors happy (and rival Marvel's Legends).

Yeah, all the DCSH figures are in proportion to each other (except maybe Doomsday, he looked a lot bigger in the comics). Mongul is really that big in the comics/cartoons.

Is Mongul normally a lot bigger (I mean the character?).

How does Batman/Flash/Normal proportioned characters measure up?

No, that's Mattel's Dora the Explorer, and other lines aimed at little kids.

arnt these the same figures being recalled for the lead paint being put on them in china? and also can any one show me a pic of the mongul figure to scale with a ML figure, I just started to want to get a few of these toys now that I know the legs are multi articulated.

Yar, they are 10 dollars in the U.S. and most of the figures are hard to find (scalpers, bad luck, and kids actually like these figures).

Blimey!! I have been and searched around for these (to be honest, I had seen them, but mistook them fo rthe cartoony-style ones which I think are DC direct? Don't like them.).
Anyway, they certainly fetch a hefty price don't they?
There is a Steel on e bay at only $10 dollars, but that would cost me $23 to ship as well!

Well, with the first few lines of DC Universe Classics, they're making people like Orion, Metamorpho(BAF), Etrigan, Black Manta, etc. so with those you would think they would have rights to more well known characters like Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.

Mattel does have the rights to do most other characters (according to Wizard/Toyfare magazine), at least we hope so! I'd hate it if they were just pulling our leg

I have heard that DCSH / Mattel, Does not actually have the right to produce such characters as Wonder Woman, Green Arrow ,Green Lantern. For some strange reason DC Direct still has a lock on them. So it may be a long while before we see anything more than rehashed Superman, his enemies and Batman and his Rogues Gallery.

I can't wait until they branch out a little, I want a Green Arrow!

Yeah, they came out a while ago, theyre called DC Super Heroes (DCSH). So far it's only Batman/Superman characters but Mattel actually has the right to make ANY DC character so you never know who might turn up!
