gonna customize a lara croft figure, any advice?

I customize a Lara Croft, I have 3 and I wanna swap heads arms and legs, repaint, remove the back pack, any hints? like is there any stuff I should avoid doing that can crash the figure?

I can't yet post links, but I have one classic that comes with a tiger, one in black suit that comes with a dog, and another one from same collection

Be sure to check the tutorial section of the figurerealm main site that should get ya startd with the basics.
