I'm making this figure and need wings. I'm looking for Angel or Hawkman like wings for a 6 inch fig. Any cheap way to obtain these or am I going to have to suck it up and go get an Angel or Hawkman and slice it up?
If you can't find one in trades, I'd hit eBay looking for "Bird of Prey Angel". It's from that strange Tech. Marvel Legends series. It has the best articulated angel wings I've ever found -- and as mentioned in another reply, they come out by undoing a single screw.
If you're modding them into the torso of another figure, you're in for some serious re-jigging - I'd pick a figure that has a screw inside it somewhere alreaddy so you can transplant the wings + B.o.P Angel's backpiece + screw directly into whatever toy with some minor dremmel work and superglue.
I've used this process three times to make Dc/Vertigo-style Angels (medieval-religious type ones) - and the end result looks pretty awesome. Best of luck with your project.
