Head suggestions for DARKHAWK (Marvel Character)

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hi everyone,

Anyone know of a good 6" scale head I could modify (or that bears an existing resemblance) to the 1990's Marvel Character "DARKHAWK"?

For some reason, this guy and DC's Doctor Fate were my favorite characters as a kid. Everyone loved Batman/Superman/Spider-Man, but it's something about masked characters with a non-standard costume design that I love.

I'll be using a DCUC Black Manta Body - I'd appreciate any input on what kind of figure head I could use to make this modern version of Darkhawk.

Cheers,
-Blayne

Very cool idea. I'm sure there's someone around who with casting know-how that could be interested in that.

Would you attempt the 90s Darkhawk style (hard edges) or the modern suit version (soft edges)?

actually, I though I would try myself at casting.
I'm not sure what version I would do. Can you provide a good pic fo each?

PM me your email and I'll send you a good reference image of each.

I just downloaded a torrent that has the entire 90's Darkhawk series in it (Woo!), so I'll be sure to shoot you some images from that for the retro-Darkhawk.

For the newer version, (the smoother one) I have some digital scans of his cameo in the the Marvel series "Runaways".

Cheers,

what ever happened to him? I remember having a lot of his comics and then it got canceled.

I hadn't thought of that! There's a ton of those figures at a local walmart on sale right now for $3-$5 right now too! I guess I know where I'm going after work. Thanks!

Sounds kinda crazy, but look at some of the Power Ranger figures... I think there are a couple that look close to his helmet.
