me, I tried doing a bane from hulk, and dipped the head in rubber dip, first coate I didn't like so I peeled it off, looked like I could use it for something and it looks like a mask or face cast, still rubbery,but its like a peeled off mask

might work. I'm experimenting with something and if it works ill make a tutorial.

couldn't you brush on some liquid latex after you've cover the head with something and then just trim it to how you want.

I never thought of that. would make things a lot easier.

Lol, just put aluminum foil or plastic-wrap on the head before you but the plasticote thing.

actually if I use super sculpty I could probably manage and then make a resin copy of it.

that could wrk not sure how well it would harden around vaseoline though good luck

I was thinking that if I coat the head with like vasiline or something I can sculpt the mask with epoxy sculpt or sculpty and when it cures pull it off. its going to be a 2 piece mask for my design with a front and a back section.

well the plasti dip stuff is kinda hard to get off too..it kind forms to the head so im not too sure if it will come off and keep form.its great for a ripped mask effect.my suggestion would be the old ninja spawn can find it cheap could rescult a little with apoxy or the plasti dip.then you would have a base.
