Customizing a McFarlane Neo

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hey guys! I need some serious help here... I have always wanted a Neo figure that is basically just standing there, I don't like the action poses at all! I have been trying to pick up a N2 Neo but that seems hopeless so I picked up a McFarlane Neo that is doing the hand-stand shooting the gun. So now I want to customize him to have more of a standing straight up pose and maybe give him some articulation. I would like to give him some ML or DCUC body but they are too muscular. Any recommendations? I plan to reuse the head and coat and I can sculpt the clothing on. Has anyone attempted this before? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

YOu know. the articulationless McFarlane toys are really accurate when you look at how he acts in all his movies lol. I swear is a badly made puppet run by aliens.

I see Angel from Buffy used a lot.

there has to be a fairly normal superhero body out there with good articulation. I know some of my old x-men figures from the 90s were pretty good. A cannonball would probably have worked. God I wish I hadn't given all those figuers away >.<

Not a bad idea! Well my search will have to continue to find what I really want. I think I am going to look for an entire body and use the head and coat of Neo to make what I want...

I still think grafting on some articulatin points like knees and elbows is the best bet if you can find them on cheap figures. I'd offer some but I think the 2 figures I really have to spare don't have much. I'd say if anything maybe a WWE wrestling figure for parts. anyhow most ML are going to probably be a bit too muscular. You could probably get away with a spiderman as he's fairly average most of the time.
