sculpting a sweater

Posted in Custom Workstation

I want to make a female figure with sweater like those on the Final Fantasy 7 Cloud or FF7 Zack figures but I'm not quite sure on how to do it yet. It seems a pain to make each piece (each pleat) and put it on but I was thinking to put a uniform layer of material on and then carve the lines into it.

I think I can do a passable job on teh sweater, right now I've put that on the back burner so I could work on the baggy pants and combat boots.

You could use actual fabric that has a weave small enough that looks right and then cut the pieces and coat then if a fabric stiffener you can get at most craft stores.

Wish I could just cast her chest and put it onto the shirt to limit the sculpting lol. The pants are going to be had enough.

Use the end of a needle. That and anything textured

That's what I'd figured on doing, just not sure how I can get the best results for the detail lines in the material.
