Well I'm finally starting to make David Bowman from 2001, after finally getting the DVD at Barnes and Nobles last Saturday. After watching the whole entire thing, then going back to sketch some drawings of the space suit, I came to the conclusion that this is one tough cookie to make. Well too bad I already started, . Anyways, I'd like to know how to make his helmet. The suit is coming along slowly, but surely, but this helmet is giving me a hard time. Any suggestions would be helpful, mind that I don't have any sculpting materials. Just cutting from various materials and gluing them together...how strange of me...
I found one with a figure on clearance at a hastings for about $8. which would look like a great deal right now because they are going for about 25 on ebay, except the figure is so tall I can't use her for anything.
I think those helmets Burch has looks modable for Dave's helmet. I just checked out the Star Trek Enterprise helmets and they are definitely more closer looking. How much would you say one of those helmets are for Burch?
Sorry, forgot about scale. I'm doing a 6 inch scale DCU figure. I'll probably have to ask someone for the helmet, because I have no idea what Battle Star Galactica is, and I'm not that hardcore on Star Trek to know any helmets.Thanks for the replies.
