I apologize if this has been asked before but I'm rather new to this whole thing and while I have looked at the tutorials, and they have been of great help, I always seem to break the pegs while cracking figures open (or the tool I use bends, or the plastic starts to give way)I was just wondering if there was any thing I was doing wrong, like am I supposed to heat the figure up before I attempt to crack it or what? Any help would be appreciated.
About a month ago I got frusterated breacking some pegs and toolk my dremler to it. That actily worked! I wouldn't sugest doing this on all of them but if worst comes to worst it's worth a shot.
Another method that works well is to make sure all your limbs are off then add a small hole to the torso. Boil that sucker or place it in boiling water for a few min. The hot water will seep into the hole you made and weaken the glue. Sometimes you can get the fig apart and even save the pegs!
Usually the pegs will break, that's where super glue comes in. And apoxie or fixit to fill any holes or cracks. It does sometime help to heat but most of the time it weakens the plastic
