see I never thin my clear paints, and I like using them! the affect is great! I just use a # 3 brush and put it on really thick( as in a lot on the brush), not so much using long strokes, but more like dabbing it on. I know it sounds strange but it works out when I do use it. also are you using the Tamiya Crome silver?? the flake in the paint may cause your problems. try using a different kind of silver(non-metallic maybe). hope this helps at all.BD
lol. I'll let you know because I use a lot of Neca stuff lately. Just had to order 2 (non neca) Hellboy 2 figures for the guys x.x I'm going to try and get my vacuformer built so I can make my own armor parts without any apoxy sculpt.
Any bits and pieces from NECA figs you need, let me know, I buy 3 of any Resident evil fig that comes out, just in case I need the pieces, don't have any full figs I'm afraid. Thank god her outfits are getting sleeker, I used a ton of epoxy putty and apoxie sculpt on that samus. The smaller she is, the less product I'll have to use. The current suit I have her in isn't really anatomically accurate, unless her arms are 5 feet long.
I haven't got any WIPs up yet, been taking them down as I finished the figures to save space. I never really figured out why samus' outfits changed over the years/games unless she's making her own armor upgrades. It has been getting sleaker and more form fitting compared to the bulkier ones from teh first 3 games. I have a ton of RE figures. There was a guy on here with some in a lot but I couldn't afford it (and already had half them). I need the new Neca figures. Wish Neca wasn't so expensive.
I never had luck with clear paint either, I used to try it on my model kits. That figure looks really good and I can't wait to see more. I have 2-4 Samus' planned with variants of her armor as seen in all the games.
