I'm kindof new to the custom figures, I want to customize my Venom Gargan figure to look more like the style he was drawn in the book(tThe stlye shown on my avy):
Spider-man: new ways to die.
And I want to include those short tiny tendrils that dot arround his head and parts of his shoulder. I was going to do the twisty cords covered with liquid electric tape, but I want to know if there are other/better methods.
As for the sealing question. I wanted to know if I could use just craft acrylic paint and elmer's brand painter's maker. If I should seal it, would it really matter what brand of paint I use?
I can send you a 1/4 lb tub of aves fixit I have extra. also on the sealer note, I use the krylon matte craft spray mostly, u can get it at walmart. I also have testors paint on.
I would, but I'm photo shy sometimes.. I don't have a secret identity. LMAO. Oh Ok Well I mean t for the button "www" to show, but I guess this is fine. Yay another KH fan.
aves fixit sculpt or if you just want to pick it up from micheals instead of ordering it get creative paperclay .oh also Im a hudge KH fan too you should put more pics of yourself unless you don't want to reveal your identity and your Kira the one behind all thenmurders lol Im weird and make random dearhnote referances lol
LOL thanks. Hey how come I can't have my website info on the bottom like the other members?
Yes that makes sense, but could I just sand off the hump thing, cut and move then glue the neck up? I sadly don't have and extra figure to do body swaps.
The air sculpt sounds like a good idea, what brand/type do you suggest?
oh... um... Id probably do a head swap onto a bulky body (long neck) and then use a hacksaw to cut off the necks on both figures... then glue the new neck with the venom head on it, to the venom body... if that makes any sense...
Ok I got a website its ShadowStanEnvy on deviantart
I'm 21
With a pic of mah face on the id part. I like drawing and making little storyboards/comics when I feel like it, mostly I do sewing.
I sew custom dolls and plushies and recently got into custom figures cuz I want my mac gargan venom to look like the one in the new ways to die book. I'm also a venom fan and a spidey fan.
So yeah other than that I want some advise on this project cuz I don't want to horribly mutilate my figure.
...?... sorry Yami... I honestly didn't understand that last post... could you add some punctuation to it (commas and periods and stuff...) or spell check it...?
lol I knew you were a girl too I said sir to force you to confirm lol your the second female customizer that has joined recetly nerd girls FTW lol j/k
what the heck intro your self here state you name age and anything else you feel luike saying lol
Ok, I only have the white paint on right now, I just want to edit the spider symbol on the figure(it should be similar to anti-venom's) thanks for letting me know.
I used to use only those paint markers... trust me...you need some actual like model paint... those markers are good for quick touch-ups (they arent very thick, so it sometimes ends up being translucent...) but when you need to work on something big, or add detail... they suck sooooo bad...
Thank you( it's ma'm BTW LOL) I would have properly introduced myself first before asking questions as netiquette but I didn't find and intro section so...
That good. I want to use sealer cuz, I could not find/afford the expensive brands of paint people suggested on the tutorial, so I wanted to really know if its ok to paint with perm. markers, painter's markers, and craft acrylic if I'm just going to seal it after wards.
Also how should I go about the lines(for lack of better words) I mean the style shows his black suit has thin red fractured lines.
I want to also make his hands/fingers longer so what medium should I use that durable and won't break.
Lastly My figure is "bulky" I wan him to be slightly thinner and appear taller, wtihou that hump on his neck.(make him stand more upright since he appears to be slouching)
Sorry for all the questions, but I'm new at this and I want to give it a shot.
well first off welcome sir but your method for the tendrills is the suggested method but you could also use paic dip as far a s a seaer its not 100% nessecary but it really personal preferance
But I mean being brittle that it would fall apart if I simply handled it.
Paperclay? is it breakable?
Oh well Iguess the back muscles and the slouched posture made it look like a hump.
for your site, go into profile, then to signature... and post the address of your site... see if that works...
