interchangeable heads

Posted in Custom Workstation

Does anyone know a good way to make a neck peg that allows heads to easily be removed and replaced with another? I was thinking magnets but not sure how to do it and retain the articulation of movement unless I put a small ball bearing inside the neck hole and a magnet inside the head.

The best trick is like the figures of neca on side has a ball joint the other side is plain, kind of king leonidas switch action.

I use some of those Gundam balljoints and the cap that usually goes over it for movement. The balljoints are mostly in the hands and head. I'll take some pics tomorrow if you need any. I used it for a custom.

cool. I'm actually going to cast copies of the peg/ball set up so I have some extras lol. Too cheap to buy them.

For that, I've made it happen a few times. Male sure the peg is a ball shape. Then on both heads dremel it out slightly bigger than the peg.
