chocobos

Posted in Custom Workstation

I want to make some scale chocobos for my playarts FF7 figures and for future customs. Does anyone know of ostrich or emu figures roughly 8-12". I was thinking that with some work I could use cheap toy dinosaurs as the base. If anyone sees these things dirt cheap please let me know.

I'm going to hit the dollar store near my doctor's weds when I'm out. They always have large cheap dino toys. Going to have ot be big for the FF7 figures since they're 8" I think and chocobos are about a foot or so taller. Then again by the time you get done wiht all the sculpting they will be larger.

I believe Hasbro made a sixth-scale Taun-Taun, that came with a Hoth Han Solo, years ago, but that'd probably be too big (and expensive). Dinosaurs aren't a bad idea for a base, maybe some old Jurassic park dinos.

If you got a bunch of those synthetic feathers, especially for the tail, I imagine those would make your Chocobo custom look pretty realistic.

our dollar stores have a good bit of animals. If I can buy them in bulk I will. I'll start a chocobo factory lol.

Try target or an educational toy stoy. They generally have things like that. I know target has a bunch of animals
