Help with Colossus WIP

Posted in Custom Workstation

So in a LOT I won a while back was an X3 Colossus, since then he's been sitting on my shelf looking dull as crap. So I looked him over today and decided to play around with his skin to brighten it up.

I tried aluminum tape and I'm not happy with the results, so I'm gonna take it all off and just paint it. But I need help with the colors here.

I have Model Masters Steel here waiting, but when I used it on Iron Monger it seems to come out a little dark. Whats the best color/color combination for a bright/metallic skin like Colossus?

This is with the tape, as you can see I left too many wrinkles in that I now can't get out.

I use Testor Aluminum, it has a really high sheen and I bet a gloss sealant would help it shine even more.

I think that would work nicely for a comic collosus but I think a darker shade of mettle would be batter for a movie collosus.
