Any ideas on what to do with this dude

Posted in Custom Workstation

Got this the other day, he just looked so cool and he was cheap enough, I like him as he is but like all customisers I can't resisit a good tinker. I'm thinking a straight repaint to add detail or maybe I could fully customise into someone totally different or the third option is to wait till my unborn son is three and old enough to play with him. What do you lot think I should do?

That's a good suggestion mate >looks over at the figure on his painting desk< but I've already started now and nearly finished, maybe next time if I'm ever lucky enough to find another one.

It wouldn'tbe hard to give him a beard after youve started painting him. Just paint it up to match.

I got him in TK maxx in England dude, he was £9.99 about $17 I think, I think the repaint is the way forward too as I don't really know many Marvel characters just the main ones. Thor has always impressed me though as he has a grounding in Norse mythology. Cheers for the other suggestions too guys

wow what else was in tk maxx?

They seem to be getting new stuff all the time just recently I have seen, Blob series: Jean Grey variant, Quicksilver Variant, Xorn and Juggernaught for a fiver. Also I got a cool ghost rider for £4 he even has individually articulated fingers. The 12" ones I saw were this guy, silver surfer and human torch. You have to dig a bit as there merchandising is rubbish but I've found some real gems in there.

You should give him a beird before you repaint him. I have alwese thought that Thor loocks much better with a beird.

He's 12inch but looks well bigger, could you imagine how small the glass of coke in the picture would be if he was 6inch? I've decided to go for a straight repaint as I like Thor so much, I'l be posting him when he's done.

where did you get him? I want one...

I think you should leave it (personally) it looks fine to me. a repaint wouldn't be bad though

I made a badass Atlas with mine. The hair and cap come off pretty easily so anyone weaing a cowl is a pretty easy to do on him. Scale wise he lends himself well to giant sized characters, I'd do Atlas, Goliath, Bill Foster, Clint Barton, etc.
