capes

Posted in Custom Workstation

I have a batman figure I have kinda customized, mainly just a head swap, but I'm looking to make a cape for him that will wrap all the way around his body, but I don't want to use cloth...I've made one using a vinyl sower curtain, but I'm wondering if there are any other kind of soft rubber or plastics I can use that look half way decent.

Small update on my progress.

The vinyl is working pretty well. I had the custom complete for about an hour and a half until I decided I didn't like the way I attached the cape. So, I pulled it off and am in the process of reattaching it. I post up some pics tomorrow after I get some new super glue.

I sugest using tablecloth plastick. You can get it at craft stores for relitively cheap and you cand get it to stay in almost aany position if you heat it up and let it cool.

I'm in the process of making a new cape for my DCUC Batman, I'm going to use the vinyl from a 3-ring binder. It's flexible and thin but strong and won't tear easily. The vinyl was already black so I don't have to paint it.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
