I have a modern dr who figure for my dad's birthday but no sonic screwdriver. Anyone have ideas how to make one?

much appreciated. My Tom Baker dr came wiht one but I never realized every dr has a new one. Already heard complaints about the new Dr replacing this one ranging from a new sonic screwdriver to an all new tardis. Also heard that Tom Baker actually recently recorded some new audio adventures as the 4th doctor.
