How Long?

Posted in Custom Workstation

How long does it usually take you guys to fully complete a custom figure?

I am currently working on my first ever custom and I am about a month and a half into it. I haven't been working on it everyday, but I am taking as much time on it as possible to make it look great. I'm excited to add it to the custom showcase.

I work on my figures for around two months at a time. I have school and other things so I don't actually get to much time in. Probobly about a hour each day.

It can also vary on parts, and what you don't have in hand to complete it, and what they guys said above, motivation, gotta have fun making it too. I have one that I started two years ago, thought of it as a simple mod, but had to get parts to fix him up, then needed paint. He still isn't finished, and after two, or maybe three years, I'm not that motivated to touch him as I was then.

I have some that are a year old and others that are only a few days to finish.

to be honest I think it mostly depends on skill and motivation, I've been working on a custom of mine for most of the year but I have encountered a lot of problems mainly to lack of experience/skill, although I did kind of jump in at the deep end with this one.

Time Varies On Each Custom I Try To Plan Mine Out W/ A Sketch Blue Print Of The Custom And Start The Base Then Work From There ! I Still Got My 3rd Marcus Fenix Sigma 6 Custom in Its Final Stages from Like 2 or 3 years ago . So Its Like Motivation That Gets Them Done - Go Figure .

Yep, mine take anywhere from two weeks to two months generally, that's just in my spare time which I don't have a lot of. I normally have a few on the go at the same time so whilst one is drying I can work on another one. Like the others said though, just take your time and enjoy it

Very well put hush. I too have customs(7) on the go since last Nov. they are kinda of a team so I really would like to get them all done at once. With two young boys and working shift work it ain't easy to find the time! My onlny advice to Jakkq is take your time with it and do your custom for you and nobody else. Have fun with it!

I have four customs going now that I started in November, last year. But I just did a Bruce Wayne that took about 3 hours, and a Caprica 6 that took 45 minutes. Time varies with every custom and with every custom, there has to be motivation to finish it instead of just letting it sit and starting something new.

anywhere from a day to half a year depending how motivated we are.
