Scale help

Posted in Custom Workstation

Alright, Im interested in buying a model, it says its in the 1/8 scale, exactly how many inches is that? If 1/12 is 6 inches, and 1/6 is 12 inches, Im guessing 1/8 is 9 inches? Can anyone confirm that?

At least thats what I was told and how I've always figure it out. It also assumes your measuring with a 6 ft base in mind.

That is correct sir. It's pretty easy to figure out. If a 1/6 scale is 12 inches, take the 12 and multiple it by the 6 which is 72. So for a 1/8 scale figure you divide 72 by 8 which equals 9....so 9 inches. hope that made sense. Essentailly you'll always equal 72 if you multiple the scale by the inches. So if your trying to figure out inches just divide 72 by the scale.

So a 1/10 scale woulc be 7.2 inches
A 1/12 scale would be 6 inches
A 1/24 scale would be 3 inches
etc
etc
