Teach me how to chrome

Does anyone know how to chrome an action figure? I want to learn how to customize my cobra viper so it will have a chrome face mask like the convention pieces.

Is it like the one in the picture? I was thinking more on the line of stainless steel effect.

this looks interesting but I was thinking more like the material that is used for foil stamping process in printing.

I've seen mettle tape fore modle cars that is soposed to go on reely smooth without wrinkles.

I bought a can of Krylon Premium Original Chrome spray paint that looks pretty good.
