Need help with TMNT Neca custom

I'm trying to create my own custom figure and character using a TMNT Neca figure. Anyone have any ideas on how to remove the bandana? Are they sculpted and painted on? From what I can tell it looks more like a head sandwich (now I'm hungry) with the lower part of the head, rubber bandana piece, and top. Anyone have any ideas or comments about this?

alright thanks for the advice.
This is actually my first attempt at using any kind of sculpt with a custom. I normally just paint. Where can you find sculpt material?

use Aves, milliput or magic sculpt to fill it. You could use super sculptey too, but thats a bit tricky. You'd have to boil it to get it to harden since the oven wouldn't be an option.

The bandana is a seperate piece and the head is one piece, but there's a "trench" around the head where the bandana was.
