selling your creations

Posted in Custom Workstation

I am kind of new at this.. But I am wondering , just how many of you out there are selling your figures.. I get a lot of emails from people asking me to make them figure. And I am wondering is it worth it? I enjoy making the figures and it is really relaxing but I am thinking if I start selling them , abit of the fund will be lost.. What are your thoughts on this..

Oh come on! I like your stuff... I just never know the characters... The workmanship with your sculpting/painting looks fine to me

I'm not a mod anymore, remember? You can stop kissing up I just do really below the radar characters half the time or original characters.

I make most of my customs for myself. I've sold 1 or 2 but if I ever do sell a figure (that I've already made of course) I'll usually make a duplicate copy and either keep, or sell that one.

I make my customes fore fun and rellaxation but I also sell many of them. I havn't found it to make the exspearience any less rellaxing. Plus if I don't want to sell it I don't .

Yep, I totally agree. When I customise I do it for fun and to relax and I've always thought about doing it to sell them but then I think much of the enjoyment would be lost. I would have to stick to certain time scales. Also I'd have to include all these factors in my costs, base figure cost, postage, materials, energy costs and most importantly time. I mean how much do you think your time is worth?, When you do it for fun I believe that time spent is priceless, especially when you can admire the results every day if you keep your work. Of course this is all my own opinion and fair play to all who do customise for profit, it's just not for me. Also this is the most I've written on here in ages, I mean it's practically an essay
