My Variants dilemma
Posted in
Action Figure ChatterI have a bit of a problem here...
When I first discovered the Marvel legends toy line, I went "Woah!! I HAVE to get all of these!!" and proceeded to try (not easy in the UK, where we doin't really have toy stores).
Anyway, my collection is growing fast, and I am even beginning to customise a little (gently does it...).
My problem is ..Variants. I have limited space, and I don't like have several different versions of the same character kicking around, I just really want a version of EACH character.
For example, I now have THREE versions of Gambit (box set, XMC and ML),
FIVE of the Thing, SIX Iron man, EIGHT wolverines and FOURTEEN different Spideys (not including black suit ,2099 etc). All different.
I mean, I find some of the Variants a bit pathetic (purple X-23, Gold first app iron man, white Storm etc) and are just a slightly different colour, but some (X factor Cyclops, Wolvie unmasked,Sinister six Doc Ock, Bullseye, Yellow Daredevil etc) are really worth hanging on to.
I am at the moment keeping all my variants in a plastic bag in my spare room , but I hate them being stashed away. Should I create a Variants/oddities cabinet upstairs, and keep my main collection in the living room?
Anyone else had to have this issue when faced with running out of space..?

Please wait...
Sorted. Thanks man.
