Personally, I tend to give a coat of dwarf flesh, then a flesh wash, then dry brush back over it with dwarf flesh again. Then I give it another dry brushing with elf flesh to bring out the higher areas of the face. It's all personal preference though, experiment on fodder pieces and you'll soon find your own style.

ok cool yes I will have to get this then! thanks again for the tip! I kind of want to see how this marvel 3 3/4 scale will turn out so I can see what scale ill be sticking with. thats why I'm working on a ml scale black queen as well. should I add anything to head to make it more eye popping ?

Not sure but I think there's a GW paint called rotting flesh that might work, I don't have any so I might have imagined it but I'm sure I used to have some.

Edit before posting, yep it definitely exists, check it out here

first off thank you for the critique on the figure! I was just looking for any critique on the figure so that I may improve in areas that might need imporving. thanks for the tip on the eyebrows that will come very much in hand! as for the head I was going with a bead flesh kind of look to it. so I used some flesh mixed with a gray to it to give a dead-ish look to it. would there be a more dead-ish look that I could achieve with games workshop paints? thanks again for the feed back

Not sure what kind of advice your after mate but here goes the head looks ok but a little chalky to me. What kind of paints you using?, I use games workshop but a lot of people use testors or tamiya. I've used tamiya once but didn't like it and it takes longer to dry. Also for details like eyebrows I tend to use a sharpie or similar kind of marker pen as I find it easier to control than a brush. Hope this is what you're after mate and if you haven't already be sure to check out the tutorials on the main site, they're awesome. If you want to ask specific questions go ahead and I'm sure we'll all try to help as much as possible.
