Marvel Legends Removable Head

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hi everyone,
I will work on custom Daken Marvel Legends Figure, but I really would like the Wolverine head to be removable so it changes easily with an unsmaked Daken head. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

what I did for mine, I made the peg tip into a ball with sculpt, let it harden, and fill the heads hole with sculpt, then use a round bur (larger size) and make a round hole very slightly larger than the peg, that way they're secure and tight, but easily removable

Thanks a lot! That really helped a lot. I'm going to wait for my figures to arrive. I'll post some pictures. Thanks!

I thought there was something like this in the tutorials, this is basically what I was talking about with magnet use:

You could just remove the mushroom shape and leave a stick type thing. That way the head would just go on and off. It wouldn't be as secure as using the magnets but it would be easier.

I had to go dig into my fodder box to look at one so I could answer you better. ML have that long neck "stalk" that goes into the head. I would just stay with that. Just trim down the edges of the stalk(where the arrows in the pic are pointing) to allow for the swap, but not so loose that it falls off, that's what I would do.
Maybe someone else can chime in on this one, since I have plans for a few ML body bases but have never used them.

Hi,
Thanks for responding. Just one question, do I have to remove de swivel joint on the neck of the figure?

Use a magnet in the neck stump and in the base of the head. Leaves the articulation, holds in place but is removable like you want.
