Warhammer 40k Chaos Black Legion - Whats good and whats not?

I am collecting Chaos Marines, Black Legion and I was wondering which figures are good to look at. I'm mostly having these for display and a hobby and one day maybe go into some battles. I have 1 rhino which is half way through painting and 5 marines that are finished painting. I an thinking to get Abbadon The Dispoiler, Havok squad and a Defiler. What is good for Chaos Marines and what isnt, mostly for looks. I will mostly have Chaos Marines Black Legion. Your thoughts? Go into much detail as You like, this is a big hobby for Me.
