Have you ever customized a figure and then realised you really shouldn`t hae , like pulling apart a ml juggs or making your ml deadpool in to snake eyes ? I`m currently using nailpolish remover to restore my xmc iceman .
my question is ..how go we salvage them ? is there a topic on here with the factory paint type used ? like what colour of brown is ml wolvie brown or which red did they use for deadpool ? what blue is angels ml outfit ?
In the end it is usually. If you guys could see the money I've wasted since 2007 when I started customizing. Figures that I tore apart for parts that didn't work out, some simply broke, others had accidents while working on them. I bet I've gone through a few grand. Sadly I still have it happen now and then and now that I customize expensive anime figures it makes you cry cause 1) you're out of the money 2) the base figures are usually really nice 3) your idea doesn't turn out.
when there is a will, there is a way,, I once restored a dcsh s3 batman, removing all previous paint work on it, the way I restored the paint work was first of all dissasemble the figure a place the parts to soak in a combination of kitchen cleaning products and naill polish remover, I leave it in there for a couple of days, then use the ruff side of a sponge to scrub off the paint which would come off easy if you've soaked it long enough, you'll be left with the base colur on the figure eg if you used this on the deadpool the only colour on deadpool would be red, (thats if the deadpools parts were casted in red that is), the next would be to paint in the other colours - I think the closest colour to the brown on ml6 wolverine is the citidal beastal brown with some blood red, remmember to paint in thin slightly watered down layers in order to make it look professional
no but yeah I have wrecked a few and im kinda scared to use some of my good ones untill I get better
