Casting Resin

Posted in Custom Workstation

I bought a casting kit the other day so I can complete a project, and since this is the first time I will be working with anything made from a cast, I was wondering how flexible is the resin after it solidifies? does heat and pop still work with cast heads, will the resin flex without breaking like for hands?

That's a pretty good tip, thanks for that, I may have to give that a try.

The hard part is that you need to poor it in fast or it will start to cool.

If you want a more flexible materiel you can melt a stick of hot glue and poor it in a cast. I've done that before and it works pretty well.

Yeah if it has any give it isn't cured yet or the mix was a bit off and it didn't cure right.

From what little I have cast, the resin has NO give at all once it sets up.
