Spurs?

Posted in Custom Workstation

I need to make spurs for a character, but don't really have a good approach in mind. Have any of you done spurs? Or have any ideas on how to do them? Thanks for any help.

Tiny gears and earrings are both good suggestions for making spurs. I've made them once, and what I did was cut out two small circles, then make the little spikes around the circumference by cutting out little triangles around the edges, and finally, I attached two, small, flat bars to the sides of the disc and then attached them to the back of the boots. The results can be seen here:

That's not a bad idea, I'll have to look out for some star earrings. Glad you mentioned that, I was just aboout to take a watch apart to see if the gears would work.

Maybe you could find some womens jewellery that would work, I use the wifes old stuff all the time.

Those would be too big for the base figure I'm using (Marvel Girl, Brood series). Not to mention I don't have the aforementioned figure. Thanks for the thought though.

The Ghost Rider movie scarecrow figure had spurs on. You could just cut them off that figure.
